President Randy Peters also presented a donation to the Heart of Georgia Realtors for their annual Safety Luncheon for local law enforcement. Our first Club Assembly of the new Rotary Year included a presentation by our GRSP student, donations to the ShelterBox project, Laws of Life Essay program, and the Ferst Foundation local chapter. President Randy Peters conducted a ceremony in which Club members presented the U.S. flags to the Southern Crescent Technical College Veteran's Club.

Griffin Rotary welcomed District 6900 Governor Court Dowis to our Board and member meeting on Thursday. DG Dowis urged us to attract and retain our members, explore additional avenues to fund local and global service projects, and continue to serve through out giving to the Rotary Foundation. Scott Owen was recognized as our newest Will Watt Fellow with his continued giving to the GRSP Foundation.
