What happens when
service-minded people come together? Lives are changed! We partnered with 5 other clubs last year for
a food packing night in another county.
Our members were not very responsive, only 5 volunteered, and asked why we could not do our
own in Spalding county, ensuring all the food helped our community. We listened and responded.
On a mission to fight
hunger this March, 24 incredible volunteers from the Rotary Club
of Griffin, along with 21 others from Rotary Daybreak, and 22 from our
friends at the Kiwanis Club teamed up with big hearts and busy
hands to pack 70 food boxes—containing a total of 15,120 meals!
These meals are now
making their way to families in need in our community through 4H,
Meals on Wheels, Five Loaves & Two Fish Food Pantry, and two local
churches. Their impact? Over 2,500 family individuals, primarily families, will have food on their tables
for a full week!
This is the power of
service in action—uniting, giving, and making a real difference where it
matters most. And now at the behest of our club, we keep it local.
