The Rotary Club of Griffin once again
stepped up in a big way to support the Salvation Army this holiday
season—giving both time and money to make a difference for families and
children in need.
From November 29 through December 24, Rotarians,
Interactors, family, and friends took turns ringing the bell at the Griffin
Kroger, logging an incredible 208 hours of volunteer time! Salvation Army
Committee Chair Andrea Griffin led the charge, ensuring we had a strong
presence throughout the season. Even District Governor Gordon Owens joined in while
in town to take a shift, adding extra cheer to the effort!
Our club also contributed $2,500 from
our Project Fund to support the Kettle Drive—but the biggest win? Our Rotary
kettle raised an outstanding $32,479! And we once again outpaced our friendly
rivals at Kiwanis, keeping the holiday tradition alive and ensuring more
funding than ever for Spalding County’s less fortunate.
The Rotary Club of Griffin is proud to continue this meaningful partnership with the Salvation Army, spreading joy and generosity when it’s needed most.
