Salvation Army Coat Drive

The Rotary Club of Griffin set out to make a difference this winter with a coat drive—and thanks to our amazing members, we didn’t just meet our goal, we exceeded it.

With a target of collecting 50 gently used coats, President Kathleen Smith spread the word at our weekly meetings and in the weekly eblasts. The response was incredible—we gathered 75 coats for the Salvation Army!

A huge thank you to Bunn’s Cleaners, who generously cleaned every single coat before they were donated. Major Tim Williford from the Salvation Army joined us to accept the donation, expressing his heartfelt gratitude to Rotary and Bunn’s Cleaners for helping keep people warm this winter. He delivered the coats to the House of Hope shelter, where they quickly found their way to those in need.

This project was a wonderful reminder of what we can accomplish together—small acts of kindness can make a big difference!

Partner Involvement
Bunn's Cleaners cleaned and stored the coats. The Rotary Club of Griffin provided lunch for their employees to thank them.
