New Teacher Lucheon

For more than 75 years, the Rotary Club of Griffin has proudly welcomed new teachers to the Griffin-Spalding County School System (GSCSS) with a special luncheon—an annual tradition that sets the stage for a strong connection between educators, community leaders, and future generations.

This year, we had the privilege of welcoming 118 new teachers, all of whom are stepping up to shape young minds and inspire the next wave of Griffinites—and perhaps even future Rotarians! During their orientation week, these dedicated educators had the chance to meet and mingle with Rotarians while enjoying a warm and welcoming meal.

At the luncheon, President Kathleen Smith shared exciting insights about Interact, Laws of Life, RYLA, and our brand new scholarship program, sparking fresh enthusiasm for these impactful initiatives. This set the stage to successfully relaunch Laws of Life in Griffin High—a true testament to the power of collaboration between Rotary and our local schools. Here's to another year of empowering educators, strengthening community ties, and making a lasting impact.
