As a continuation of our earlier Spalding County Dog Park project where the club donated time and materials for the construction and completion of our Dog Park, the Rotary Club of Griffin has had a Little Free Library constructed by a local tradesman. The Little Free Libraries located all across the community have proven very popular so the club decided that the Dog Park would be a perfect location for another. At a cost of $550 the Little Free Library our club sponsored is made of very durable cypress wood with sliding plexiglass doors alleviated the need for hinges and made to be low maintenance. Once erected by the County, the Rotary Club of Griffin will continue to monitor the condition of the Little Free Library and keep in stocked with books. The entire board provided input into the design of this Little Free Library and three of our members directed the construction and ultimate placement of the Library at the Dog Park.
